Casinos Are Losing Players Due to Self Exclusion

Casinos have experienced a huge loss in players due to self exclusion. Both land based and online casinos are feeling the impact of players who have requested to be banned from gambling. This is often due to the fact that the players identify they have a problem with gambling and request to be banned from further participating in any legal gambling activities. Hills is one casino that has revealed they are losing 3000 players a week due to self-exclusion. This results in a huge revenue loss for casinos.

How Should Casinos Deal with Self Exclusion

Most legal and licenced casinos often encourage their players to practice responsible gambling. Should a player feel they are having problems with gambling and need to be excluded or cool off, then this action is regarded as responsible gambling. Hills ran a poll to find out whether casinos should worry about the number of players lose due to self-exclusion. The results revealed that casinos should not worry about self- exclusion and that this action will benefit the gambling industry in the long run. It is always good for a player to identify if they have gambling problems and take the necessary steps to remedy this.
