Taco Brothers is an interesting online slot game set in Mexico. The year is 1881 and a villain by the name of Captain Diaz has arrived in the town of Santa Maria, with the intentions of stealing everyone’s Tacos. It is up to the three Taco Brothers, Paso, Pepe and Pico to stop him. While the premise behind the online slot game may be a touch silly, it has created an impressive and fun online slot game. Taco Brothers was developed by Elk Studios and comes with plenty of features and some impressive visuals.
Taco Brothers Theme and Graphics
Taco Brothers naturally has a Mexican theme, which comes across in the various symbols used in-game. The visual style is seriously impressive though. While Elk Studios decided to give the game a cartoon style, it has been exceptionally well executed. The background is a high-quality Mexican landscape, which players can see through the semi-transparent reels.
As for the symbols, we were extremely happy to see that there were no playing card symbols. All of the symbols in game relate in some way to the Mexican theme, including the three brothers, a cactus, a bottle of tequila, and some mining equipment.
The animations are super smooth as well and we were extremely impressed with the looks of Taco Brothers.
Taco Brothers Features
The online slot game features five reels and an impressive 243 ways to win. As you’d expect from a modern online slot, there are Wilds and Scatters to help the player win big. The Wild is represented by large gold bell, inspired by the Taco Bell logo perhaps, while a locked safe is the Scatter. There’s also the Taco Brothers Wild, which is sort of a secondary wild. Land two of these and the game will respin one of the reels not containing a Taco Brothers Wild or a safe.
Taco Brothers gets really interesting when you get the bonus game. To activate this, you’ll need to get three Safe Scatters on the reels. When the bonus game starts, a multiplier is chosen and applied to all winnings when the round is over.
During the Bonus game, all spins are free and one of the brothers will move onto the reel and act as a Wild. After each spin they will move to the left, in an attempt to reach the left side of the reel. During the Bonus round, two special symbols can appear. The first is Captain Diaz himself and when he does, he imprisons one of the brothers present on the reels. If all three get locked up, the bonus round is over. The second is his daughter, who will release any imprisoned Brother when she shows up.
Taco Brothers Conclusion
We really enjoyed trying out Taco brothers. The visual style really appealed to us and we loved the effort put into the theme. While the base game is fairly ordinary, the bonus round was very enjoyable. This is definitely a game worth checking out!
