Playtech, the casino software providers that is based in the Isle of Man, has just announced that it recently signed a new deal with the Fortuna Entertainment Group. This new deal signed by the two companies will see Playtech supply Fortuna with multi-channel sports betting and gaming software.
Who has Playtech signed with?
Playtech might know who this new partner is, but we’re pretty sure that most Casino UK readers will probably have never heard of the Fortuna Entertainment Group. Fortuna is one of the largest sports betting companies that operate in Central and Eastern Europe. The group is made up of three main branches, that being Czech Fortuna, Polish Fortuna, and Slovak Fortuna. In each of these three countries, Fortuna is one of the largest and most successful operators. It currently operates around 1500 shops throughout central Europe and generates around €300 million in revenue every year.
The deal with Playtech will allow Fortuna Entertainment Group to deploy a customised multi-channel product that offers players sportsbook and gaming options, as well as seamless wallet technology and CRM.
Playtech weighs in on deal
The CEO of Playtech, Mr. Mor Weizer, has come out and stated that his company is thrilled with the new deal, which follows on from the successful launch of Fortuna in Romania, and are more than happy to help provide the tools for the operations in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
As for Fortuna Entertainment Group, its CEO has said that the company has aimed at expanding its operations in Eastern and Central Europe and hoped to become a market leader in its field. The software from Playtech, which has been customised for Fortuna individual needs, will help the group to successfully realise its strategy and expand its reach.
This news follows hot on the heels of Fortuna releasing its financial results for the first six months of 2016. The group saw an overall gross win increase of just under 20% compared to last year, while online sports betting saw a 30.9% increase to its gross win when compared to 2015.
