Playtech has penned a major casino contract extension with the Rank Group.
The new deal includes the full integration of table and slot management systems across the UK Grosvenor Casinos estate.
Playtech’s Neon Slots system will be used to manage the group’s 3,000 electronic gaming machines. Meanwhile, the Neon Tables iPad application is now set to cover 650 Grosvenor tables.
Rank to benefit from Playtech management technology
The contract extension was penned on Thursday 20th April. It came into effect a year after the companies signed a deal ever since which Playtech’s Neon casino management system has been implemented throughout the casino estate.
Rank also currently uses the Neon Analytics business intelligence platform.
“We worked as a team to address a wide range of technical challenges and business innovations,” explained Grovesnor Casinos head of finance Richard Playle. “We’ve successfully rolled out a system which is performing well across the estate, and meeting our business goals.
“Migrating our gaming systems to Playtech will enable us to complete our modernisation,” Playle added. “We’ll also be free to offer an improved player experience. [And now we can] complete our vision for a single account and wallet across our retail and digital businesses.”
Playtech MD keen to talk up Rank deal
Due to being Playtech subsidiary Intelligent Gaming MD, Martin Sykes was also keen to emphasise the deal’s benefits.
“[We’ve] developed new features and optimised Neon for deployment in the Cloud,” Sykes continued. “[In addition] we’ve provided numerous integrations and supported the transition from the legacy systems. Because of this, we’ve been able to keep data in step as we implemented the 54 sites.”
