Mobile gaming content developer Nektan has announced on Tuesday that current Nektan CEO David Gosen will be leaving his post at the end of January 2016. Executive chairman Gary Shaw will be stepping in as interim CEO until the company finds a permanent appointment. Mr Gosen has revealed that he has taken this decision in order to explore new business opportunities.
Nektan Goes on to Appoint Non-Executive Chairman
The company also announced that Jim Wilkinson who is currently an independent Non-Executive Director of Nektan will be appointed as a new Non-Executive Chairman. Mr Wilkinson, who is Oxford Sciences Innovation Plc Chief Financial Officer, had previously taken a similar role at Sportingbet.com Plc as Chief Financial Officer.
Commenting on the directorial changes of the company, Mr Shaw said that all Nektan’s staff are thankful to the outgoing CEO Mr Gosen for the progress the company has showed over the past 12 months under his leadership. Nektan continues to show growth based on the solid building blocks the company has established during his period.
Mr Shaw also pointed that he is happy with Mr Wilkinson’s appointment and he has always been a highly-appreciated Board member of the company. Mr Shaw concluded by stating that he is looking forward to continuing to work with Mr Wilkinson and to taking the company to the next level.
