Swansea Climbs Their Way to Victory
Swansea started their comeback with two goals in five minutes from Andrew Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis. At this point, Man United was at ease and possibly should have been more than 1-0 to the front before kicking back to relax. Their goal came from none other than Juan Mata’s 49th-minute strike.
Go for Goals!
Man United’s goalkeeper Sergio Romero failed to prevent a low level shot from Gomis at his near post in the 66th minute. The only reason Romero is playing is because he’s Man United’s first option goalkeeper and David de Gea isn’t being selected as he is linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.
Pull Your Socks Up Man U
Man United has two days left to resolve its goalkeeper situation with Europe’s summer transfer window closing in England tomorrow. They will also decide whether to sign a new striker to help out Wayne Rooney, who hasn’t scored goals in the Premier League since April.
Man United manager commented by saying that, he has enjoyed their football, but they need the result and they lost again. Man United has dropped five points behind Man City after losing three straight games to Swansea. Juan Mata was extremely disappointed after Man United’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea. Rooney had a wonderful chance but he hesitated but Williams managed to get back and force him off the ball.
