Kate Lampard CBE Working As a Legal Expert
- Lampard recently carried out independent investigations into accusations of Jimmy Savile’s sexual abuse in NHS hospitals in the UK, and
- Abuse at Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre.
For the first time in history, her appointment has resulted in the RGT’s Board predominately consisting of Trustees who are completely independent of the gambling industry.

The RGT plays a significant role in enhancing people’s understanding of gambling-related harm and coming up with effective ways to curb such issues. She further added that she’s looking forward to working with the Board to address the challenge of minimizing gambling-related damage.
Chair of the UK Gambling Commission, Philip Graf CBE, welcomed Ms. Lampard’s appointment with a speech and says the UK Gambling Commission welcomes her as new Board of Trustees Chair and they are looking forward to working with her.
