England boss Sam Allardyce has told BBC Radio 5 live that he’s concerned about goalkeeper Joe Hart’s situation at Manchester City. The 29-year-old, who is yet to make an appearance for Man-City this season, was told he could leave the club if he wants to.
Sam Allardyce Speaks to BBC Radio 5 live
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, the former Sunderland manager said it’s a big concern, and he will confirm the English captain later this month. Allardyce is yet to decide whether Wayne Rooney will continue as captain or not. Allardyce further noted that Hart would be in his squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifier when they face Slovakia. The 61-year-old manager is expected to announce his new squad this coming Sunday, August 28, 2016.
Hart, who won his 63rd England cap, made mistakes against Iceland and Wales as the team was knocked out in the last 16 of Euro 2016 in June. With Hart out of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s favours, Willy Caballero has been appearing a lot for the club this season.
Although Man-City fans plead for Hart not to be sold, Everton announced that they are interested in signing Hart. On Sunday, August 21, 2016, Spanish champions Barcelona said in a statement that they had started the agreement with Man-City over the transfer of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
