Celine Dion made a touching return to a sold out performance at The Colosseum at Caesar Palace. This was Celine Dion’s first performance after the passing of her husband, Rene Angélil, who was also her producer.
As tribute to her late husband, Celine Dion’s performance opened with an emotional video about Rene’s childhood and the moments he shared with the songstress and her family. Celine Dion also sang “With One More Look at You” by Barbra Streisand as a dedication to the late Angélil who died in January 2016.
Celine Dion announces a series of performances
Speaking on her return, Celine Dion expressed she felt the need to continue her performances as her career was her husband’s master piece. Celine Dion’s Las Vegas performances at The Colosseum began in March 2003. The legend has performed a total of 966 shows at The Colosseum and announced that she would be performing 27 more shows. These shows are scheduled for September right through to November. The shows are directed by award winning producer, Ken Ehrlich and will see to the super star perform her greatest hits.
