Under terms and conditions of the contract, 888Poker is promised to have full exposure on the WSOP website, especially during live broadcasting of the tournament.  888Poker’s logo will also be visible to all players based outside the US. Additionally, they will be featured mainly around the ESPN overage of the WSOP Main Event. This sponsorship also gives 888Poker with the exceptional right to run official satellites for the tournaments.

This year’s edition of the WSOP will be Event Number 54 and has been given a nickname ‘Crazy Eights’ because of an eight-handed $888. In the official bracelet event, the first-place winner will walk away with a whopping prize of $888, 888, as well as a gold piece.

888 Holding Senior Vice President and Head of B2C, Itai Pazner, commented on the sponsorship deal by saying that the partnership renewal will enable them to send more players to Las Vegas this summer. He further stated that the sponsorship deal will also benefit the poker community in general.

This year’s tournament has guaranteed the players with a prize pool of $7 million with a first-prize of $1 million.
