The 2015 International Casino Conference (ICC), known as the premier event preceding the ICE Totally Gaming trade show, will be held at the Hippodrome Casino in London on February 2nd, 2015.
“This is the first time that the International Casino Conference has been taken out of a conventional conference-style setting and we could not have wished for a more prestigious and appropriate venue than the Hippodrome,” said Jo Mayer, the ICE Marketing Director.
The Hippodrome first opened in 1900 as a performance hall for circuses and variety shows. Over the past century, it has served as a musical hall, theatre, nightclub, and restaurant. Famous guests who have performed at the Hippodrome include AC/DC, the Jackson 5, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, and Harry Houdini.
It officially opened as a casino in July 2012. Six months after opening, it was named Casino of the Year 2013 by the Totally Gaming Awards. It features six bars and critically lauded dining options.
The ICC, organized by both the European Casino Association and Clarion Events, gathers the leaders of the European casino scene to discuss the future of the industry. The talking points for 2015’s conference include transforming the customer experience, a review of resorts-style gambling, an update on the recently elected European Commission, and results from a recent ICE project.
The event’s key speakers are Ron Goudsmit, Chairman of the European Casino Association; Simon Thomas, CEO of the Hippodrome; Marc Campman, CEO of Love Social Media; Damià Calvet Valera, Director of Generalitat de Catalunia; and Harrie Temmink, Deputy Head of the Online & Postal Unit, DG Internal Market & Services of the European Commission.
The next main event, the ICE Totally Gaming show, takes place at the ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Center from Feb 3rd-5th. It’s known as the most comprehensive gaming trade event. Business leaders representing casino, online, lottery, mobile, online, bingo, and street gaming will be in attendance.
