It has been announced that the final of Americas Cup of Poker will take place at Resorts Casino Hotel. This grand event will happen on the same day as the much anticipated soccer event in New Jersey. There will be teams representing North and South America, which will each have five players who will claim their space through qualifying online.
The 8th edition of this Poker competition will be taking place from the 9 May to 6 June. Participants at this Poker competition come all the way from Canada to Argentina. The team that will represent USA will be comprised of Poker players from PokerStars’ NJ Spring Championship and Americas Cup of Poker which will be held on May 29.
This year the event will be hosted by the USA and because of this they will automatically qualify for the competition. Canada’s team will also make an appearance at this competition after its last appearance 5 years ago.
Americas Cup of Poker brings together the best Poker players from across America to showcase their Poker skills. This competition will see to 12 teams battle it out for the prize over a period of 4 weeks. The top 5 players from these teams will represent their countries in the live final for a share of $100,000.
Speaking about the event, Andre Akkari a representative from PokerStars spoke on the growth of this competition. He added this year will see improved and more structured tournaments. Competition will be stiff at the live final at Resorts Casino Hotel as teams like Brazil and Argentina battle it out to be crowned the best poker stars.
