Estonian gambling operator, Olympic Entertainment Group has opened the doors of a fourth casino in Malta This took place after their gambling license was approved by the country’s Gambling Authority. The new casino will be operated by Olympic Group together with its local affiliate Eden Leisure Gaming Limited.
The gambling venue which is called ‘Casino Malta by Olympic Casino’ is Olympic Casino’s largest venue and is located in one of the busiest tourism destinations in Malta. The gambling venue is 3 000 metres squared and it is part of the Malta InterContinental Hotel. The venue features a sports betting bar, a large lounge area, weekly live entertainment, 285 slot machines, two electronic roulette tables, 29 poker tables as well as other popular casino table games.
Olympic Casino owners, Ian and Kevin De Cesare commented by saying that the new casino is aimed at attracting both local and international gambling enthusiasts, and the island’s gambling industry will be expanded rather than dismantled by foreign operators.
Apart from owning the recently launched casino in Malta, the group also operates gambling venues across Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Belarus and Slovakia. The new casino in Malta currently employs 175 staff and they have been trained in both European and Maltese casinos over the past few months. The group is also one of the largest gambling providers in Europe with more than 3 000 employees.
