Wind Creek Bethlehem

Previously known as Sands Bethlehem, Wind Creek Bethlehem is now under the ownership and management of Wind Creek Hospitality, the gaming division of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians from Alabama. This change took place in May 2019 when the Poarch Band acquired the Pennsylvania establishment from the Las Vegas Sands Corporation for $1.4 billion.

Strategically situated in the Lehigh Valley, just off Route 78 and a mere 90 minutes from New York and an hour from Philadelphia, the venue occupies the historic Bethlehem Steel site, renowned as the world’s leading steel producer at its peak. An investment of over $700 million by Sands transformed this location into an unparalleled luxury resort within the region—and indeed globally. Operational since May 22, 2009, the casino maintains a distinctive Iron theme, with structural details that honour the legacy of the workers who elevated America to the forefront of industrial leadership.

Following a $160 million expansion completed in June 2023, the resort now features a total of 553 rooms across its new and existing hotel towers. The newest tower’s entire top floor houses an expansive 11,600-square-foot spa, and its sixth floor boasts a fitness centre and a 6,424-square-foot pool with an outdoor terrace overlooking the iconic structures of the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation plant. Additional amenities include 35,200 square feet of meeting spaces, featuring a 23,000-square-foot ballroom and a 5,400-square-foot bar located near the new lobby. Guests can also enjoy refined lounges and nightlife, live entertainment every weekend, a vast 150,000-square-foot retail mall, and seven dining options, ranging from a classic American steakhouse to a buffet and quick-service market bites.

The casino itself covers 183,000 square feet, offering over 2,000 slot and video poker machines and more than 150 gaming tables, which include a smoke-free poker room with 20 tables available 24/7. The gaming experience is further enhanced by Live Stadium Gaming, which features low-limit dealer baccarat, roulette, and now $5 minimum blackjack. Players have the advantage of engaging in multiple games at once through electronic betting terminals, allowing them to enjoy the games at their own pace. A significant recent addition is the full-service sportsbook, bar, and grill, powered by Betfred Sports, situated in the space that was once occupied by Buddy V’s Ristorante.
