Gulfside seeks the support of Pope County voters for its licensing plans to materialise.

Spearheaded by Gulfside Casino Partnership, known for operating Island View Casino Resort in Gulfport, Mississippi, the River Valley Casino Resort is intended to be established in Russellville, Arkansas. This extensive $200 million, three-phase project in Pope County is contingent on state regulatory approval following the recent statewide decision to permit casino gaming.

The anticipated opening of the casino is set for autumn 2020, and it is slated to include a 300-room hotel with 40 suites, a 6,500 sq. ft. spa and fitness centre, along with spaces for meetings and conventions. Dining facilities are planned to comprise a 300-seat buffet, a high-end steakhouse, a 24-hour café, and a coffee and pastry establishment. Additional amenities will feature retail options, a poolside bar and deck, and an outdoor amphitheatre and entertainment venue designed to host over 2,000 people.

The gambling offerings will span 60,000 sq. ft., including 1,500 slot machines and 50 table games, complemented by a show bar and casino bar, a sports bar featuring live sports betting, and a casino lounge/club.

There will be significant parking facilities, featuring both a surface lot and a parking garage.
