The History of Bingo and Online Bingo
Bingo is believed to have begun in the 16th century in Italy and continued to grow across to Britain, France and the rest of Europe. In the older times, bingo halls were created, but from about 2005 we saw a stop in building these halls due to Online Gambling and other reasons.
Online Bingo began around 1996. When played at Online Casinos, Random Number Generators are used to ensure a fair and reliable outcome. Free Bingo was the start of Online Bingo and the game was called Bingo Zone. Obviously since then online bingo has grown tremendously creating different types of variants.
Types of Online Bingo Games
As previously mentioned, the UK makes use of the 90 ball bingo game which is spread over 3 rows and 9 columns. The first column will contain numbers from 1 – 9, second 10 – 19, third 20 – 29, and it increases accordingly up to the last column.
There are three stages of Online Bingo:
- Stage 1 requires players to mark all numbers in a horizontal line (5 numbers)
- Stage 2 requires players to mark all numbers in 2 horizontal lines (10 numbers)
- Stage 3 requires players to mark all numbers in 3 horizontal lines (15 numbers)
There are also 2 other types of online bingo which include:
- 80 ball bingo: Combining 75 and 90 ball bingo rules which has a card of 4×4
- Speed Bingo: This includes a bingo game of 30 balls which uses a 3×3 card
As you can see, there are a number of various versions of this time old classic, ensuring that you will have a great time no matter which you prefer. There is a bingo board for everyone so ready yours and get playing now!
