Perched on the M22 in Peshawbestown with a view of Grand Traverse Bay, Leelanau Sands Casino is under the ownership and management of the Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation. Previously known as the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, this entity is a part of Grand Traverse Resorts, alongside its sister establishment, Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel in Williamsburg.

The property boasts a welcoming 51-room lodge, which underwent renovations completed in June 2025. Many of the rooms offer private balconies or patios with serene woodland vistas. This lodge is conveniently located next to the casino and the Sands Showroom, a 1,000-seat venue for entertainment. Guests can enjoy dining options that include a sit-down restaurant and deli, as well as a fully equipped bar.
