Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel

NEWS: On April 15, 2024, Suffolk OTB initiated a significant $210 million expansion of Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel, marking the first major development since its 2017 opening. This 300-square-foot expansion aims to almost double the casino’s size. The number of video lottery terminals will increase to 2,000, and parking facilities, including the addition of a three-story garage, will expand from 600 to nearly 2,000 spaces.

The expansion plan also features the addition of new pubs, restaurants, and event spaces for conferences and wedding receptions at Jake’s. A new 110,000-square-foot building will be constructed behind the current premises to accommodate 1,000 new betting terminals, and approximately 500 machines will be relocated from the existing casino. The original building will continue to host 500 betting terminals, with the addition of new dining areas, and the hotel’s 210 rooms will be refurbished. The project is slated for completion by spring 2026.

This development was made feasible after the Islandia Village Board gave unanimous consent in July 2023 to Suffolk County Off Track Betting’s proposal to expand Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel.

Jake’s 58, previously known as Islandia Marriott Long Island hotel, is an adults-only venue situated along the Long Island Expressway North Service Rd, just a 10-minute drive from Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islandia, New York. The hotel, which garners mixed reviews, boasts 227 guestrooms equipped with modern conveniences such as complimentary high-speed internet, air-conditioning, a fitness centre, an indoor pool, and a convention centre covering 18,656 square feet. Guests can also enjoy Bistro 58, a casual 190-seat restaurant and bar offering modern American cuisine alongside a diverse selection of drinks.

The expansive casino features 1,000 contemporary video lottery terminals (VLTs) spread across three gaming floors, complemented by roughly 100 electronic table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Roulette, and Three Card Poker. These VLTs are connected to a multi-tiered jackpot system called Copper Cash, capable of awarding a substantial jackpot of up to $100,000. Besides VLTs and electronic table games, patrons can bet on their preferred horses through OTB simulcasts and two Suffolk Off-Track betting kiosks. The OTB room is outfitted with several flat-screen TVs for enjoying a variety of live horse racing events.

Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Jones Beach and the Hamptons. New York City is just a one-hour drive away, and Brentwood Country Club is located less than three miles from Jake’s 58 Hotel & Casino.
