Fontainebleau Las Vegas

On Wednesday, 13th December, the towering 67-storey Fontainebleau Las Vegas threw open its doors to the public at 2777 South Las Vegas Boulevard, marking its grand opening after the initial groundbreaking moment back in 2007. Florida’s Fontainebleau Development, alongside Kansas-based Koch Industries, announced in 2021 that the previous Fontainebleau—briefly known as The Drew Las Vegas—would once again carry the Fontainebleau name.

Please note, although the Fontainebleau is officially operational, several amenities are pending completion and are expected to launch by spring 2024 or potentially later.

Situated on 25 acres at the northern end of the Strip, in the midst of the Luxury Corridor, this establishment is the tallest and newest hotel in Nevada’s southern resort area. With a staggering $3.7 billion investment, it ranks as the second most costly property, following the $4.3 billion Resorts World, which launched in June 2021 a mere mile away at 3000 South Las Vegas Boulevard. The resort occupies ground previously held by the El Rancho Hotel & Casino and the Algiers Hotel, neighbouring the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.

This luxurious 3,644-room resort spans 60 floors and showcases an impressive porte-cochère alongside a marble-adorned lobby, 550,000 square feet of convention and meeting space, a 55,000-square-foot luxury spa, and a 14,000 sq ft fitness centre. Guests have the choice of over 30 bars and dining venues, including a 40,000 sq ft nightclub and day club, with options ranging from casual to fine dining, coffee shops, and a food hall. The resort also features restaurants led by celebrity chefs, several upscale bars, and poolside bars. Overall, the resort includes a 6-acre pool complex with seven distinctive pool experiences alongside a variety of outdoor bars, restaurants, and gaming facilities. The pools are slated to open in Spring 2024.

The gaming area covers 150,000 square feet and incorporates 1,300 slot machines, 128 table games, and The Tavern race and sportsbook complete with a restaurant. The property also boasts high-limit gaming sections for both slots and table games, with the addition of poolside gaming options.
