Eagle Mountain Casino

ANNOUNCEMENT: Phase II of the development will introduce a brand-new 111,000 square-foot hotel comprising 125 rooms and a 20,000 square-foot space for banquets and conferences. This hotel is set to feature a destination pool and an on-site brewery. Initially slated for completion in 2025, the hotel and resort amenities now anticipate opening in 2027.

In April 2021, the Tule River Indian Tribe initiated construction of the new Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, California. The original casino, established in 1996, was situated on the Tule River Reservation located in the foothills. This new establishment has been relocated approximately 17 miles downhill near the Porterville Municipal Airport, on a 40-acre plot adjacent to Highway 65 and beside the Porterville Fairgrounds. After two years of construction, the casino began operations on April 19, 2023, following an investment of $180-$200 million. The official grand opening, marking phase one, was celebrated on May 9, 2023.

The newly unveiled Eagle Mountain Casino spans 105,000 square feet and hosts about 1,750 slot and video poker machines alongside 20 table games. Additionally, it includes a 2,000-seat event centre, two bars (alcohol is a novel feature here), and various dining establishments such as a diner, food court, coffee house, and steakhouse. While smoking is permitted on the casino floor, a non-smoking area is also available.
