England bowler, Steven Finn has been pulled out of the one day series and Test match against Pakistan due to sustaining a left foot injury. 26 year-old Finn took 4 – 16 in their second tour match in Abu Dhabi against Pakistan before he was ruled out of the current United Arab Emirates (UAE) tour.
Chris Jordan has been called up to replace Finn and he will arrive in the UAE during the first Test with Pakistan. Graeme Swann, former England spinner told BBC Test Match Special that, England made a safe selection and they know what they will get from him. Jordan has claimed 21 wickets from eight Test matches, including the recent one of which they were defeated by West Indies in May in Barbados.
The Wales and Cricket Board said in a statement that Finn will head home for a period of time to allow him to recover from his foot injury. Finn returned this summer after a two year absence, claiming 14 wickets which helped England win a crucial Test match over Australia.
England has played four one day internationals, three Twenty20s and three Tests against Pakistan in the UAE. They will also tour South Africa over Christmas with the first Test match starting on Boxing Day in Durban.
