London-based sports betting company Sporting Index announced on Tuesday that Simon Trim will step in as its new CEO. Mr. Trim will replace Warren Murphy who officially announced last month that he will resign from his post.
Mr. Murphy has spent the past seven years as Sporting Index CEO. Among other things, he has steered the company through a transition process related to an ownership change. Mr. Trim joined Sporting Index as Managing Director of Sporting Solutions in 1998.
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr. Trim expressed his joy by saying he is really happy to be taking the role of CEO at the company. He further noted that the company has been an inspiration within the international gambling industry and has been offering betting customers distinguished products. The company has reinforced a great share of its recent in-play growth in the market through Sporting Solutions, he added.
Last year November, Sporting Index launched a new responsive mobile website which creates a seamless user experience across all devices. The new mobile website features quick filters, partial cash-outs, a dedicated in-play area and improved functionality to manage open bets. Among other things, the mobile site synchronizes automatically with the desktop version, personal preferences such as favourite categories, are immediately available for log-in via desktop, tablet and mobile. In an official statement, the company has promised that it will continue to introduce new features this year as well.
