Sky Sports News HQ has reported Manchester United chief executive Edward Gareth “Ed” Woodward has started negotiations that might see Paul Pogba return to his former club. According to the Daily Mail, the Frenchman is keen on a transfer back to Old Trafford and to link up with the new manager Jose Mourinho.
Reports say Juventus F.C. wants to keep hold of Pogba, but they might find it hard to resist a world record deal worth £100m. This would see the 23-year-old earning up to £300,000 a week at United. The midfielder also played a significant role as France beat Germany 2-0 last night in Marseille to reach the EURO 2016 final.
Sky Sports has also learned that the midfielder is also being tempted by Real Madrid C.F. Spanish football journalist and pundit, Guillem Balague, said Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and President Florentino Pérez Rodríguez both believe Pogba wants to move to the Bernabeu.
Pogba and his representatives said that any significant progress will happen once the EURO 2016 is over. United boss is familiar with Pogba’s representative Mino Raiola, having recently completed the transfers of Henrik Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Both players have been represented by the Italian-born, Dutch-based lawyer.
