Sky Sports sources have reported that England and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is set to leave Manchester City this summer. Reports say manager Pep Guardiola left him on the bench for their 2-1 Premier League victory last Saturday at Sunderland, prompting that he does not figure in Guardiola’s immediate plans.
Hart, who spent more than a decade at Manchester City after joining the club from Shrewsbury in 2006, has made 347 appearances for the club.
Speaking ahead of City’s match against Steaua Bucharest in Romania, Sky Sports News HQ reporter Vinny O’Connor said they understand that Hart is going to evaluate the options that are available to him over the next couple of weeks.
Manchester City has agreed to sign Barcelona goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, for a £17million deal. The Spanish club Barcelona agreed in principle with Valencia FC to replace Bravo with Diego Alves.
England’s number 1 Hart has three years left on his contract with Manchester City and is interested in a loan. Should the 29-year-old move to Spain, his wages will need to be heavily subsidised, unless Real Madrid signs him.
Spanish champions, who will open their 2016/17 Premier League season this upcoming Saturday against Real Betis, want an immediate replacement for Bravo.
