Does Splitting Reduce House Edge on Blackjack

Blackjack is a well-love table game in both land-based casinos as well as online casinos. In the game of Blackjack, players are given the option of splitting their cards during the game. With the growing popularity of this table game, variations and rule additions have been made to the game in most casinos. An example of such a modification is a  game that allows players to split twice for a total of three hands and also re-splitting Aces. Players often wonder if these modifications give the casino a house edge.

Splitting Reduces the Casinos House Edge on Blackjack

According to Gambling Guru, John Grochowsk, if the Blackjack follows all the other rules of Blackjack then the house edge is reduced. Some casinos also give players a late surrender option which Grochowski also believes is a great advantage to players. He states that the late surrender option reduces the house edge by 0,07% and allowing players to re-split aces reduces the house edge by a further 0.08 %. Both options give players an advantage, so players can welcome such modification in a game of Blackjack. Players should look out for Blackjack variations with rules that lower the house edge giving them greater chances at winning.
