Gambling Made Better with A Healthy Body

Gambling is one of the world’s favourite past-times. Many enjoy it as a hobby or a way to quickly make a few extra quid, but moderation is key. According to author John Marchel, it is important that players maintain a healthy body in order to have a good gambling experience.

A gambling veteran’s advice

Marchel recently proposed that the most effective way to stay sharp during any gambling venture is to take regular breaks and not to put too much strain on the body. He also recommends that blackjack players take 30-minute breaks after every 45-60 minutes of play. He stresses that players should shy away from betting marathons and take reasonable breaks in between play.

Exercise and gambling go hand in hand

A brisk walk, a cup of coffee, juice or even a quick read can do wonders to re-energise a strained mind, said Marchel. He also warned against prolonged or even all-night gambling sessions after travelling. It is advisable that players get adequate rest after a long flight in order to get the best out of a casino experience.

Healthy gambling is not just for land-based casinos

This idea is equally applicable to both land-based and online casinos. Both put a considerable amount of stress on the mind, therefore staying healthy and keeping a sharp mind is key to success.

Although staying at home and gambling is usually less stressful on the mind, it can be just as stressful on the body. Prolonged periods of inactivity when playing online casino games can lead to weight gain and health issues.

A quick walk around the house or the neighbourhood, walking the dog, or reading a good book will help keep you at the very top of your game.

The age old recommendation of plenty of rest coupled with a proper diet and exercise will make a champion gambler.
