UK-based gambling operator Rank Group Plc has announced that they have appointed Leon Thomas as their new Chief Operating Officer of the online bingo division. Mr Thomas already started his office duties yesterday and reports directly to the Managing Director of Mecca Bingo, Martin Pugh.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Thomas has taken the post as Managing Director of US Operations at NYX Gaming. He also served as Managing Director of online bingo brand, Tombola. With many years of online bingo experience, his appointment will help the company reach its full potential and targets.
Rank Group Seeks Growth
Mr. Thomas will be in charge of the online bingo brands across Europe and the UK. He will be supervising the overall company’s performance and further growth in the bingo division. Rank Group Plc Chief Executive Officer Henry Birch, officially said they are very pleased to welcome Mr Thomas to the team as their new COO. Mr Birch additionally stated that Rank has already established itself as one of the leading gambling operators in the division of online bingo offering and with Mr. Thomas’ help, they will take the company to the next heights.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Thomas stressed he is very happy to have joined Rank Group. With its excellent assets and brands, the gambling operator has all the potential for further growth in its online gambling operations in both the UK and internationally, said Mr. Thomas.
Apart from its online bingo offering, Rank also operates a land-based and online casino, Grosvenor Casinos. Rank is also in charge of the Enracha Brand which operates in nine gambling hubs across Spain.
